Made Tech has won a new contract with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) to continue developing and improving its data platform and analytical tools. Building on a 4-year partnership, this will help DBT gather richer data insights to shape trade and investment policies – critical in strengthening the UK’s position in a post-Brexit world.

Supporting DBT’s mission and economic growth

DBT plays a key role in driving economic growth, helping UK businesses expand internationally and attract global investment. Last year the department supported £862 billion in UK exports, working with experts worldwide to unlock new trade opportunities.

Accurate, accessible data underpins this success. It helps DBT to identify and work with the right businesses, track trade activity and make the right investment decisions. As one of DBT’s digital partners, Made Tech makes sure the department has the technology and insights needed to support these efforts at scale.

Through this new contract, Made Tech will:

  • support the Department of Business and Trade’s CRM adoption and improve data quality, ensuring richer insights for trade policy.
  • provide specialist data expertise to enhance DBT’s data platforms and analytical tools with new products and features.
  • help DBT explore AI options to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • deliver skills development and knowledge sharing, ensuring DBT’s teams get the most value from their data investments.

A strong and trusted partnership with DBT

Made Tech has been a long-standing partner to DBT. We provide flexible, hands-on support across its data and technology portfolios. The department values our collaborative approach, technical expertise and commitment to social value initiatives, such as running workshops and mentoring programmes for DBT staff.

Made Tech has been a key partner in helping us make better use of our data. Their expertise has allowed us to strengthen our data capabilities, making it easier to support UK and international business growth with real, data-driven insights.

Investment in the future

As DBT continues to refine its data strategy, Made Tech will play a key role in improving its data infrastructure. This new contract gives DBT the expert support and flexible teams needed to improve data, drive innovation and connect trade and investment experts around the world.

We’re excited to continue working with the Department of Business and Trade to help them make the most of their data. Helping government departments unlock insights from their data is at the core of what we do. This contract means we can continue to support DBT in making insight-led decisions that make a real difference to the economic success of the UK.
