About this event

Digital modernisation is on the agenda for most local authorities across the country. Councils want their transformed data to enable more data-driven insights and support residents to live happier, healthier and safer lives.

In 2020, Hackney Council began work with Made Tech following a serious cyber attack. By developing a secure, scalable and reusable data platform, Hackney is improving their analytical capabilities and getting data out of silos. This has enabled them to proactively target and provide support to some of the borough’s most vulnerable residents, and will help the council make better, data-informed decisions at a faster pace.

In this webinar Lisa Stidle, Data & Insight Manager at Hackney Council and Jim Stamp, Head of Data at Made Tech took the audience on the journey from a new start to developing capabilities beyond the council’s previous business as usual, answering questions both from public sector people hoping to modernise their data services, and from a data consultancy perspective.

We looked at Hackney Council’s transformation for data by covering the topics:

  • Why Hackney embarked on the project
  • Impact for Hackney Council and residents
  • What we’d have done differently
